Jamelia Stovall: Class of 2024

School: Lavergne High School

Events competing in: 100M, 200M, 4x100M, 4x200M

 

Notable accolades (past titles, state/school records, PRs): Came short of sub-state last year finishing 10th with a time of 13.91 in the 100M in the Class AAA district sectional. Ran 2nd leg of the 4x100M that finished 3rd in the district sectional with a time of 53.60. She also ran the 3rd leg of the 4x200M which finished 3rd in the District sectional with a time of 1:51.13. In LHS's February time trials, Jamelia ran a personal best 13.02 in the 100M and 28.05 in the 200M. She will anchor both teams this year and was named team captain. 

 

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Jamelia has several offers but has not made a decision.

Coaches Comments: Jamelia has a strong start out of the blocks. Her stride length is growing, and her acceleration is improving drastically. She is as student of the sport, she watches film, studies the craft, and wants to be great. She is the leader of our team. She goes just as hard academically with a 3.8 GPA, scored a 27 on the ACT, and exhibits exceptional leadership skills. Jordan Earl: Class of 2024

Player: Jordan Earl

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

 

Events competing in: 100M, 200M, 4x100M, 4x200M

 

Notable accolades (past titles, state/school records, PRs): Last year he finished 10th with a time of 11.76 in the 100M in the Class AAA district sectional. Ran 2nd leg of the 4x100M that finished 3rd in the AAA state Championship with a time of 42.01. He also ran the 2nd leg of the 4x200M which finished 8th in the AAA State Championship with a time of 1:28.41. In LHS's February time trials, Jordan ran a personal best 11.04 in the 100M and 22.74 in the 200M. He will anchor both relay teams this year and was named team captain. 

 

Jordan has several offers but has not made a decision. 

 

Coaches Notes: Jordan has great starts out of the blocks. His running form and mechanics have improved over the past four years. He's a strong strider. Has exceptional stride length and strength toward the finish.  Has tremendous upside for the collegiate level.  Has been to state in the 4x1 and 4x2 placing 3rd and 8th.  For more information on Jordan, please contact coach Johnson. Tremaine Arnold: Class of 2024

Player: Tre Arnold

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

 

Events competing in: 400M, 200M, 4x400M

 

Ran his personal best this year in the 400M with a time of 54.24. Ran 200M in 24.06 this year as well. He anchors our 4x400M relay team as well. 

 

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Tre has no official offers yet. 

 

Coaches Notes: Although Tre has began to bloom late in his high school career, he has tremendous growth potential. He hasn't peaked at all and continues to get better. What impresses the coaching staff about Tre is his work ethic. He has committed to training and getting better since the summer.

Acelyn Fischer: Class of 2024

Player: Acelyn Fishcher

School: Lavergne High School

Events competing in: 400M, 800M, 4x400M, and 4x800M

 

Ran her personal best in the 400M in the first meet of the season at 1:09.44. Also ran her personal best in the 800M with a time of 2:43.19. 

 

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Ace has no official offers yet but has been in conversation with several colleges. 

 

Coaches Notes: Ace is a very fun person to coach. She works hard, is involved in ROTC, was on the rifle team so she brings an attitude of discipline and success to the team. She loves to compete and push her teammates.  Ace has a tremendous upside and tons of room to grow on a college team.

Juan Catalan: Class of 2024

Player: Juan Catalan

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

 

Notable accolades (past titles, state/school records, PRs): Finished 10th in the 800M in the AAA district meet last year with a time of 2:24.64. He also ran 3rd leg of the 4x400M which finished 4th place in the AAA sectional with a time of 3:57.32. Juan ran 3rd leg on the 4x800M relay which also finished 4th in the district with a time of 9:27.73.

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Juan has taken college visits and is talking to several colleges, and has a couple of offers already. 

​

Coaches Comments: Juan emerged as one of the leaders on our team after coming to run track with his twin brother. His constant work ethic is second to none and has allowed him to demonstrate growth in many areas on and off the track. He would be a great asset to any team and has tremendous upside in college.

Noel Chambers: Class of 2024

Player: Noel Chambers

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

Events: Runs 400M, 4x400M, 200M, and 4x200M

​

Established himself as one of the leaders on the team. Had a best time of 55.99 in the 400M dash. 

​

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Noel has taken college visits and is talking to several colleges, and has a couple of offers already. 

​

Story ideas: Noel has start to come on very strong as the season is progressing. We are looking for him to really finish the season strong. He's one of our stronger 400M runners and continues to get better.  We believe at the collegiate level, his growth will expedite tremendously.

Ashlynn "Niya" Cook: Class of 2024

Player: Niya Cook

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

Events: Runs the 100M, 200M, 4x100M, and 4x200M

​

Niya has had some experience playing flag football at her previous high school. Shows a natural grit and athletic ability. This was her first year running track but quickly became one of our top female runners. She runs either 1st or third leg of our 4x1 and 4x2. 

​

Ran her personal best 13.11 in 100M and 27.88 in 200M.

​

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Niya has no college offers as of yet.  

​

Coaching Comments: Because of her inexperience running track, she has room to grow and develop into a solid runner. She has natural athletic ability, a great acceleration out of the blocks, and a great work ethic.

Angie Chen Class of 2024

Player: Angie Chen

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

Events: Runs the 400M, 800M, 4x400M, 4x800M

​

Angie is a two sport athlete, she was an all region wrestler and she also runs track at LHS. She is a hard worker and loves to compete. 

​

Her personal best in the 400M is 1:03.45 and in the 800M is a 2:45.33. 

​

College commitment/offers (if applicable): Angie has no college offers as of yet.  

​

Coaching Comments: Angie is a competitor. She has a scrappy mentality, works hard in practice and loves to get better. She would be a great addition to any team.

Ethan HusseyClass of 2024

Player: Ethan Hussey

School: Lavergne High School

Grade: 12

Events: Runs the 100M, 200M, and 4x1, 4x2

​

Ethan was a late add-on. He was a member of our basketball team who appeared in the state tournament, won our region, and made history. He came out for Track and Immediately made an impression on our coaching staff. We believe that with collegiate coaching, Ethan could  really develop into a solid runner.
